The Isaka Kaihura Foundation (IKF Uganda) is a nonprofit organization transforming lives and empowering communities across Uganda through sustainable, people-centred initiatives.
Inspired by the life and legacy of Isaac Newton Kaihura, our work is rooted in compassion, hope, and service. We believe lasting change begins within communities when people are equipped with the knowledge, dignity, and opportunities to thrive.

Founder's Message
The Isaka Kaihura Foundation was created in honour of Isaac Newton Kaihura, whose life of love, service, and hope continues to inspire us. Guided by his legacy, we are committed to transforming lives through people-centred, sustainable development. We believe every person deserves dignity, opportunity, and the tools to thrive. That is why our
work focuses on four key areas: education, health, renewable energy and climate action, and sports. Through these pillars, we strive to nurture young minds, improve community well-being, expand access to clean energy, and empower the next generation.
Our vision is simple yet bold: to create thriving communities through clean energy, quality education, better health, and climate solutions.
And our mission remains steadfast: to empower generations by advancing healing, clean living, and harmony with nature.

Our Story
The Isaka Kaihura Foundation was born out of a legacy of service. Inspired by the life of Isaac Newton Kaihura, a man whose compassion and vision touched countless lives the Foundation was established to carry forward his commitment to hope, dignity, and community empowerment.
Today, IKF continues this mission by supporting initiatives that improve lives and create opportunity across Uganda.

Education for Change
We provide free, quality education to children in rural communities going beyond academics to nurture critical thinking, leadership, and hope for a better tomorrow.
Health & Wellbeing
From mental health and sexual and reproductive health to clean water access and malaria prevention, our programs promote healing, dignity, and holistic community wellbeing.
Renewable Energy & Climate Action
We bring clean solar energy to homes, schools, and health centres empowering communities to live sustainably while protecting Uganda’s natural heritage.
Sports & Youth Empowerment
We harness the power of sports to nurture talent, build confidence, and create safe spaces where young people can grow, connect, and thrive.
